I chose this article because it appears that budesonide, a common asthma medication, has some ability to prevent severe disease course in Covid 19 infection. The primary outcome of the study was visit to an urgent care facility for worsening covid symptoms, and only 1/70 in the budesonide group met that criteria, opposed to 13/70 in the standard care group. Instead of having patients quarantine for 10-12 days until they are sick enough to require hospitalization, it appears budesonide would be an effective outpatient treatment.
